Charlie is a unique human being. She has always dreamed of meeting the
Ducks, and in the Chance Of a Lifetime Saga, she finally gets her shot.
What
follows is more than she has ever dreamed, but of course, she welcomes
the
changes with open arms. Her best friend is Lissie Jensen, who is
important
to the plot only in that she is Charlie's best friend and 'rock' in
times of
crisis. Of course, it's possible she could be 'replaced' sometime
soon...perhaps for someone tall, er, dark (?), and ducky...
Charlie is tall, dark, and beautiful. She's got long brown hair and
golden
brown taffy-colored eyes. Some people would call her beauty classic,
others
have called her exotic. The wonderful thing about Charlie is, she
doesn't
care what they think. She is always open-minded to anything new that
comes
her way, including six alien ducks with a love for hockey...and one
tall
duck in particular who wants revenge for the supposed 'murder' of his
best
friend. Charlie is of course, not one to mess with, especially when it
comes
to threatening a loved one. Due to past experience, Charlie makes it
easy
for Wildwing to open up and talk.
When she was a small child, Charlie would play hockey with her
brothers on
the pond behind the house where they grew up. Since then she has had a
natural knack for the game, but never pursued a career in it, finding
college was more her style. Still, she's not immune to the frequent
college
moans and groans, and will often times find herself grumbling over a
triple
latte at two in the morning.
In addition to that, Charlie is accomplished at many different kinds
of
martial arts. Aside of that, she is nearly an expert swordswoman (do I
hear
Duke drooling, or is that just Nosedive?), and has quite a collection
of
blades from all over the world. When she isn't kickboxing or practicing
her
Kung Fu (gee, won't Grin just love her?) she's playing volleyball or
shopping with Lissie. And she also makes it a huge habit to eat
anything she
wants, whenever she wants, because 'People only live once.' She
believes the
only thing that keeps her in shape are her sometimes daily mall crawls
with
Lissie.
When she was sixteen years old her grandparents were killed,
bequeathing to
her a large...no, obscene...amount of money, more than enough to pay
for
college and then some. The catch was that she couldn't have it until
she was
eighteen. Then, at eighteen, her parents were killed in an 'accident,'
(more
on that later! *wink*) and she was left eight million dollars from
their
insurance policies. Obviously, there is more to Charlie, Charlie's
family,
and their history than meets the eye, but many parts of her are still a
mystery. Most, or all, hint hint, of these things will be revealed in
the
coming stories.
As is revealed in my first story in the Chance Of A Lifetime Saga-Part
1:
Chance Encounter, Charlie and Wildwing make a startling connection.
This is
the first in a long line of fics that only tell part of that story.
Keep
reading to find out, and one more thing...
Hang on, Wildwing, it's gonna be one heck of a ride!
