Wildwing Flashblade
Number: 00
Position: Goaltender, Team Captain
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 210 lbs.
Catches: Left
Wildwing is team leader and ardent goaltender to the Ducks. Older brother to Nosedive and best friend to Canard, Wildwing was charged with leading the team when Canard was trapped in dimensional limbo.
Plauged by doubt early in his leadership, it took time and experience for Wildwing to realize that he was right for the job. His one mission is to destroy Dragaunus, but his first priority is the welfare of his teammates. His goalie skills help him to make rational decisions in even the most chaotic situations.
One of the most heavily armed members of the team, Wildwing's armor is resistant to most blasters and projectiles. He has an A/V screen on the underside of his left arm armor, which can also be used to track the com signals of his teammates. On the upper arm is a built-in pucklauncher. His most prized accessory is the legendary Mask of Drake DuCaine. This unique piece of technology helps Wildwing gather critical information, and enhances his leadership abilities.
On the ice, Wildwing is a master at his position. A solid wall of feathers and padding, he has a strong-as-steel attitude which isn't shaken by anything. Being the team captain, he is actively involved in playing loose pucks and deciding strategies. By no means does he tolerate fights, and will break them up himself if he has to.
Ian Zierring on Wildwing: "I think Wildwing is very gung-ho. He's the leader of an intergalactic band of ducks. At first, he's not too comfortable with this. But with the Mask, he's able to lead fearlessly... and I like that!"
